Here you have some further impressions from Horisont Con last weekend. A jolly good con with a bunch of nice people, solid home-cooked food and an overall friendly atmosphere. My guess would be that around 40-50 people were present at some point during the weekend including a few shops and some bring-and-buy stuff. I’ll certainly come back next year and if I’m not mistaken, my partner in crime, Claus, will do the same.
During the con some would find time to do some modelling and painting.
One of the games played was Hawk Wargames’ Dropzone Commander. A Sci-Fi game with a huge tactical potential and not really my thing. I had a go at a test game which went smooth but the vibe of the game left me somewhat cold.
The simple and fun Caveman game hosted by Sune from the Rogue Trader Club in Copenhagen
More Caveman stuff – yes you get to throw things at your opponents!
A game of Lion Rampant – a great set of rules and a great board
Claus (in the red T-shirt) having a crack at the Dread Streets game currently being tested at the Danish Cons by Rasmus Wichmann (pulling his beard)
Also Dropzone Commander
Ditto – men from the evil Scourge race
And even more Dropzone Commander
Me (to the left) playing Lion Rampant
A pulp game inspired by the movie The Mummy. I can’t remember which set of rules was used
More Egyptian fun
A small game based on a bar room fight in a fantasy inn. Absolutely amazing stuff!
